Egg Benedict for Brekky

Now that you know how to make poached eggs, it's time to make a fattening Egg Benedict for breakfast! Haha!!
All you really have to do is
-toast some bread (in this photo, I used the Filipino pandesal),
-poach an egg,
-pick your choice of cold cuts (I used Turkey ham),
-chop off a few chives and
-make the Egg Benedict sauce.
Egg benedict sauce Ingredients:
(**for 6-7 sandwiches)
- 3 egg yolks

Poached Egg using Lakeland's Poachpod

The Lakeland kitchenware has become one of our favorite stores lately and among our recent purchase was this green poachpod that costs only KWD 3.000 (2 pieces).

Poached eggs are obviously a healthier choice because it has no added fat, and all the nutrients are retained because it's cooked in water.
How to poach an egg?
Simple. Coat the poachpod lightly with oil (just so the egg won't stick to the silicone pod).
Crack the egg into the pod.

Somnia et Salmon

We had this mouth-watering salmon for lunch earlier today.. I can't even begin to describe just how much I LOVE salmon ♥
Just a quick trivia about the benefits of eating salmon:
- Its a good source of PROTEIN (protein is super important especially if you work out a lot, it helps in nourishing and repairing your muscles).
- It has the "good kind" of FAT! I'm talkin' about OMEGA-3 fatty acids which helps in lowering your bad cholesterol and raising up your good cholesterol. :)
The preparation is pretty easy. :)

What you'll need:
**(Assuming that you have 1 kilogram of salmon)
  • Salmon (of course! Haha!)
  • For the MARINADE: 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of ground pepper, 3 tbsp of mustard, 3 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp lemon

Channeling Cleopatra

This is "Part 2" of the presents I got all the way from Manila, this time from Janna Katipunan
I fell in love at first sight with this necklace.. This is a little different from the pieces that she's made so far and for some reason, I felt it had this Cleopatra vibe going on so I just had to get it. :p
Wish ko lang pag suot ko sya, nagiging kasing-ganda ko si Elizabeth Taylor. Haha!!
I love these earrings and I loooove getting handwritten letters. ♥ Thank you Janna!!

Little Rascals

One of our favorite things to do as a family is play with our dogs.. A couple of months ago, one of our dogs gave birth to these four little rascals and I swear to God, we always try our very best not to squeeze them to death. I can't even explain how CUUUUUUUUUTE they are!!! So I'll just let these photos speak for themselves.. ♥
